Incoterms® stands for “International Commercial Terms” and they layout the responsibilities between the buyer and seller when shipping goods.
Incoterms®2010 came into effect on 1st January 2011 with a new set of rules and also new terms. It is vitally important to understand these terms as they can help avoid disputes during the transit of goods, plus can also help companies be more efficient and cost effective by applying the rules.
